5 tips to keep your wedding guests on their feet

Updated: Aug 8, 2022

Having an unforgettable wedding that your guests talk about for years to come means paying attention to every detail. From the sparkly shoes of the bridesmaids to the tablescapes of the reception, you want everything to be perfect and memorable. One way to ensure your wedding guests are having a great time is by making sure they’re always on their feet and dancing! Here are five ways to keep your wedding guests on their feet so they have the best time ever!

The Meal

A good meal is one of the best ways to keep your guests happy and on their feet. Make sure you have a variety of food options available so that everyone can find something they like. Serve smaller portions so that people can try a little bit of everything without getting too full. Keep the speeches short and sweet so that people don't get bored. And, most importantly, make sure there's plenty of dancing!

The Bar

A bar at your wedding is a great way to keep your guests entertained and ensure that everyone has a good time. Here are five tips to make sure your bar is a hit:

1. Make sure you have enough bartenders. There should be one bartender for every 50 guests.

2. Offer a variety of drinks, including non-alcoholic options.

3. Have some fun garnishes and glassware to dress up the drinks.

The Speech

Typically given after the first dance and before dinner is served, the father of the bride speech is one of the most important at a wedding. The father of the bride speech should be heartfelt, sincere, and not long. Here are five tips to ensure that your father of the bride speech will be a success. 1) Be upfront about what you're going to say in advance - don't let them get surprised by an impromptu oration! For some people, this can help avoid distractions or forgetfulness.

2) Think about who you want to include in your speech and where they'll be sitting during it. If it's just close family members, consider standing while addressing them; if they're all sitting down, then you might need a podium for best visibility. 3) Practice, practice, practice! A little preparation goes a long way to ensuring an excellent outcome. 4) Avoid telling stories from when you were growing up-let other relatives share those. 5) If possible, ask someone else to give your speech so that you can enjoy the reception with everyone else.

The Dance Floor

A big, beautiful dance floor is a must for any wedding that wants to get their guests up and moving! But if you're tight on space or budget, don't worry – there are still plenty of ways to make sure your guests have a great time dancing the night away.

The Wedding Favors

Wedding favors are a great way to show your guests how much you appreciate them being a part of your big day. Here are five tips to make sure your favors are both memorable and practical:

1. Get creative with the packaging. Your wedding favors should be packaged in a way that is both eye-catching and representative of your personal style as a couple.

2. Think outside the (wedding) box.
